Chemo Is Hard

Chemo was no fun yesterday. Thank goodness I had a kind person to accompany me and tell me stories to distract me. Captain Obvious showed up at about 1:00, so it was nice to have both of them for a while. Even met a nice woman who was there with her step-mother, who was getting chemo.

Capt. Adorable had a sad/bad night. Ate almost 8 ounces of yogurt this morning, so that's good. He's staying home with my Mommy while Captain Obvious and I go back to the hospital for more fluids, since I am feeling so bad.

i just wanted to say that i'm thinking of you and praying for you... my heart just breaks when i think of what you have to go through--especially with the weaning. it will get better...he will adjust and you will be able to snuggle up with him without him wanting to nurse! you are in my thoughts~sending light and love and peace to you.

I have been following your story for a few weeks. What a heartbreaking thing to have to wean so early. But I believe, that your son will know what a strong, fighting mama you are and what you are doing for him. Prayers for healing and peace in your heart.

Love to you and your family.
I know this is so hard, I hope the hardest part will be over soon. Be gentle to yourself.

You are doing so great! If you have, eh, some bowel issues-I found it helpful to take epsom salts a day before chemo to keep everything functioning properly! I took it for several days afterwards too(as long as I had to take the anti-nausea meds-those stop everything!)
Also, sage tea or if you have some sage e.o. -apply it to your underarms to help dry up your milk.
My heart is with you!
